My mom and aunt came for another family history trip, but this time they brought along my grandparents. They were out in West Chester most of the time, but came in the city one day for me to show them around. We were able to see the Liberty Bell, Independence Hall, eat cheesesteaks from Reading Terminal Market, and see a few other sites around the city.
I think we completely wore out Grandma and Grandpa. After our dinner out at Distrito for Brad's birthday, we came back to our place and Wendy and my mom helped me pack up for moving this weekend. Brad kept Grandma and Grandpa entertained by teaching them what's going to be on his anatomy final this week.
On Monday, I went to meet them at Valley Forge to show them around. Unfortunately, I didn't get any of the pictures off my mom's camera before she left. My favorite part of this trip was seeing Washington Memorial Chapel. Every time I've been it's been closed or there was a wedding going on or some other reason as to why I couldn't see it. It was a beautiful church and had a lot of patriotic symbols incorporated.
I don't know when their next family history trip will be, but it's good to know I'll be seeing my mom in the next month for the arrival of our baby boy.
