Evy at 2 1/2
- Evy is slowly moving from the crazy-destructive-make-a-mess-of-everything two year old and more of the sweet-and-cute two year old. I might keep her if she keeps this up.
- So much love for her brother. She wants to spend all day with him and gives him hugs after they have been separated.
- Such a social bug! Evy loves to say to everyone we meet and usually follows it up by introducing herself.
- She is so girly! Her favorite colors are pink and purple. She really wants makeup of her own. And she really loves wearing dresses and dressing up.
- Evy asks me everyday if she can color.
- She loves her "Evy and Mommy time."
- So much language! Sometimes I just sit back in awe listening to her. After Nate's speech delay it's so amazing to me that Evy just picks up so much on her own.
- My favorite word she says right now is "impossible."
- Also, Evy will go around saying, "Listen up!"
- While Nate hates anything messy, Evy is the complete opposite. She loves to make a mess!
- Her favorite food is cheese! And she is always asking to eat!
- She has loved summer and being outside so much!
- Nate and Evy have decided our coffee table is a stage. They love to get up there and sing us their favorite songs.
- Evy loves when daddy gets home. She starts jumping up and down and runs to great him.
- Such a little monkey. She's taught herself how to do forward rolls. And she does headstands. I need to put her in gymnastic classes.
- Evy can be quite naughty. Like dumping milk on the carpet. Or slinging yogurt on the table. Or making mud pies in the rain. Or making "soup" out of leftovers. Or drawing on her hands. Or rubbing hummus on apples. Or peeling all of our bananas. Or taking out everything out of her drawers. Or spreading peanut butter on the windows. Or turning over her laundry hamper so she can climb on it. Seriously, this girl is a little bit crazy! Now I know why there are so many safety things designed for toddlers.
- She's becoming more of a snuggle bug which I love.
- Evy loves to help in the kitchen. She's always willing to come help me.
- This girl definitely has a sweet tooth!
- She loves our neighbors across the street. She's always asking to go play with Joel.
- This little one definitely came packed with personality. She's sweet and sassy and headstrong and so loving. She brings so much happiness to our house!

Evelyn at 2 Years
- Loves to say "Hi!" to everyone we see. She's a pretty social little girl.
- Evy is such a girly girl. She loves to wear dresses, tutus, hair bows, necklaces, bracelets, etc. She loves princesses. She loves to get her hair done and will sometimes even request pigtails. Yes, she's a girly girl for sure.
- A true blue Dukie. Whenever she sees a Duke shirt she points and cheers, "Go Duke!"
- Little dancer. She doesn't have the best moves, but she loves to dance.
- Destructive. Oh so destructive. I now know why there are so many different safety gadgets because we've had to install so many with this crazy at our house. She'll rip things open with her teeth. She's dumped whole bags of grain on the floor. If we happen to have a intact crayon she'll snap it in half. She likes to dig out chapsticks if yours happens to fall out of your chapstick. I found her taking a plastic fork to my entertainment center I worked so hard on and scratching off the paint. And of course, magic erasers are my favorite for taking off her art on the wall (even though the crayons are locked away she seems to squirrel them away for later.) She's very much the reason we won't buy anything nice for a few years.
- She loves Minnie Mouse.
- Evy is a little talker. Nate's speech therapist has remarked the Evy's speech is very advanced for her age and I definitely believe her. I'm always surprised by the things she'll say to me.
- A huge fan of nursery. But it's always nice to get a huge hug from her when I come pick her up.
- Absolutely loves her brother. It's so sweet to see them when they're playing happily.
- Such a good little eater. She's always wanting snacks and eats so well at meals (usually.) My favorite is when she tries a meal and says, "Oooo, tasty!"
- Evy is definitely mastering the art of tantrum throwing. The trick is to make sure mom is watching. And if she's not, stop, move closer to mom, and then throw yourself on the ground wailing. She's an expert at this.
- Extreme climber. See exhibit A above.
- Evy loves her daddy. She always wants to see him first thing in the morning and will often ask for him when I'm putting her down for her afternoon nap.
- Jumping. All the time.
- Two year old stats: 34 inches tall and 25 lbs.
- I discovered a box of our old Halloween costumes and Evy loves to go through it to try things on. She especially loves dressing up in her Wendy costume from this last year and begs Nate to put dress like Peter Pan.
- Such an enthusiastic celebrator.
- Evy's pretty sure she knows her colors. If you ask her what color something is she will tell you a color, but not the right one. She's just says it with so much confidence. She is always right about pink though.
- Evy has a couple baby dolls that she absolutely adores taking care of.
- Evy is heart broken when Nate has to leave. We have two therapies at one office. One therapy we get to go with Nate, one we don't. When we don't get to go back with Nate, Evy is so so so sad Nate has to leave. She'll come up to me every 5 minutes and ask for Nate.
- Loves loves loves books.
- Such a good little singer. She loves to sing along with I lullaby to her when she's going to bed. My favorite right now is when she'll sing Skinnamarink, but mostly because then she says, "I love you!"
- Generally, this girl is the happiest, cutest, sassiest little bug. We love love love her so much!

Evelyn at 21 Months
- She is all girl! She loves skirts, dresses, pink, hair bows, purses, shoes, and babies.
- She loves cheese! She routinely asks for a slice off the block in the fridge.
- She's a little runner. She especially loves running and jumping on daddy.
- Destructive. So so so destructive. She will rip and tear and bite. I can't let her get a hold of anything when we go shopping otherwise she destroys it before we even get to the checkout.
- Evy is always reminding us. To pray. To brush her teeth. To go get Nate. She always remembers.
- Evy misses Nate so much when he is gone at preschool. She will ask for him several times and occasionally will get sad that he's not there to play with her.
- I love it when she sings. And she's pretty good at remembering all the words. My favorite is when she sings, "If You're Happy and You Know It" and she shouts "Hooray!"
- She's a champion nursery goer.
- Starting to ask questions and put sentences together. It's amazing to hear her talk and realize how much she already understands about language.
- She loves to "help" in the kitchen. She is constantly pulling out the measuring cups. And the bowls. And she loves it if I let her help mix anything.
- Likes to play trains and space ships with her brother.
- She is so sneaky! Nate's therapists are constantly finding her with their pens, phones, and shoes.
- Evy definitely has a sweet tooth.
- She gives to best hugs.
- Evy loves her dolly. She can't leave her crib without her dolly and loves to take her with us.
- She is a huge fan of Daniel Tiger.
- Loves to play outside, especially in the one patch of dirt we have in the backyard.
- She loves when Nate's therapists come. She loves to sing all the songs and wants to do everything Nate is doing.
- Loves books. She especially loves the Chapbooks and seeing pictures of her.
- She will not wear a sleep sack anymore and on occasion I've come in to find her with nothing on in her crib after a nap!
- It's a good thing she is so so so cute. She needs it to balance out all of her destructiveness. But she is usually the happiest, smiliest, cutest, sweetest little girl. Oh I love her.

Evelyn at 18 Months
- Evy loves her stuffed animals. She takes a load of them to bed with her. And she'll ask for a different one to snuggle each night. She's also very attached to her blankie.
- If I need to keep Evy entertained for a while I'll give her a sheet of stickers. She loves them!
- Favorite word: no. Of course.
- Bathtime is still her favorite time of day.
- Evy is becoming such a daddies girl. She loves running to find daddy and welcome him home. She'll ask throughout the day, "Daddy, where are you?"
- She is a trouble maker! She us always climbing on things, making messes, and putting things in her mouth!
- Her 18 month visit was delayed due to our move, but here are her 19 month stats: 32.5 inches (58th percentile) and 23 lbs (48th percentile.)
- Evy is always eating! She is always wanting some little snack or hanging on the refrigerator door to try and get in.
- Such a little smarty pants.
- Evy is definitly a little water baby. Loves, loves, loves it.
- She wants to read a million books at bedtime.
- She loves her big brother. She usually wakes up and asks for Nate Nate.
- Loves brushing her teeth.
- Evy loves to be outside. She loves playing in the backyard, at the playground, or just going for a walk.
- She loves to see the school bus. She waves and grins as it pulls up. And then she shouts for her Nate Nate.
- Such a good little helper. She's getting the hang of cleaning up. And she desperately wants to help me with the dishwasher.
- Evy's learned to throw a pretty good tantrum.
- I love it when she sings. She knows Itsy Bitsy Spider, ABCs, Child of God, Twinkle Star, and You Are My Sunshine.
- Loves to look for bunnies in the backyard.
- She's been getting into dancing. It's too cute!
- Before we leave her room and sometimes before she goes to sleep, Evy will ask for a hair bow to be put in her hair. What a little cutie!
- Her favorite game has got to be peekaboo. She plays it all of the time. Even with strangers at the grocery store.
- She started nursery and she loves it. Her first day she ran right in and didn't even look back to wave bye to mom and dad.
- So many hugs and kisses. I love it when she'll spontaneously come over and give me a hug.
- Evy has such a cute little personality. So happy and smiley and sweet and full of adventure and lots of trouble! I wouldn't trade her for anything.

Evelyn at 15 Months
- So many words! All done, more, cheese, nana, yum, Nate Nate, where, bird, hi, bye bye, baby, momma, daddy, and so many more. My personal favorite is when she responds with, "Yeah!"
- Loves blowing us kisses. And giving real ones too.
- Likes sleeping with a blankie now.
- We decided to try a spoon and some applesauce and she loved feeding herself. She got it all over the place, but she was happy. And she's doing really good with a fork too!
- We've watched a couple of the baby signing time videos, and Evy's picked up on a few signs. She definitely knows, "More, more, more!" and, "All done!"
- This girl loves babies. We had a friend come over with her 4 month old and Evy kept telling me, "Baby! Baby!"
- She knows our names. She asks for Nate the entire time he's gone to preschool. And then she asks for Daddy once Nate's home. Evy even knows the name of Nate's therapist Katie.
- Oh we have a climber. Nothing is safe. Our chairs no longer reside around our dining room table.
- She is also a little destroyer. There is a long list of things she has destroyed, including my glasses. Luckily, we were already planning on replacing those.
- It's probably going to a big part of Evy's life for a long time, but she goes with us to all of Nathan's therapies. She actually loves it! Granted, OT is really fun with all the slides and swings (Nate calls it going to the playground.) But she's a trooper to sit through all the other ones as well.
- Raspberries. All the time. With Daddy. With Brother. When she's eating. It's too cute!
- She is a big eater. She eats more than Nate! After she tells us, "All done!" and gets down from her high chairs she goes and scavenges more food.
- With the warmer weather, she's been loving going on stroller rides to the park. She likes being big enough to climb around on the playground.
- Her 15 month stats: 20 lbs (31st percentile,) 30.5 inches (46th percentile,) and 45 cm head circumference (31st percentile.)
- I took the kids to the beach one day and Evy loved it! We have a little water baby on our hands.
- 11 teeth! She's got one last molar coming in too!
- I love her curly hair. It just keeps getting cuter and cuter!
- We gave coloring a try (she's got to be ready for nursery.) She really liked it and was a champion scribbler.
- Evy is at such a fun stage. She's talking more and more, responding to our directions, dancing to music, giving loves, and is just the cutest and sweetest little thing.
