Halloween

This is how Nate feels about matching costumes.  I could cry. Those days were good while they lasted. Nate refused to wear his Mickey Mouse costume.  He said he wanted to just wear his black shirt and black pants and be a black night.  It wasn't until we went to our ward trunk or treat that we realized he wanted to be a black knight like his friend.  The next day was Halloween so I went to the dollar store that morning. Luckily they had a helmet, shield, and glow stick sword.  Nate couldn't have been more pleased.

Brad's office had a team costume which meant Brad had to dress up. Brad isn't really one for Halloween, but he was all about that NASA shirt.

Cinderella and Prince Charming

Halloween Fun

Our ward had a fun Trunk or Treat night.  Evy was awestruck to meet another Cinderella.  Our friends' from dental school had such a fun idea for a monster that we had to copy their idea.  The trick or treaters would pull out a tooth to get their candy.  Evy and Nate loved filling up the cups with candy.

Gus Gus the mouse

On Halloween day, our city puts on trick or treating downtown.  Evy and I met up with some friends for the event.  Some people had quite the spectacular costumes.

That afternoon I helped out with Nate's school party and he was so excited about the monster cookies.

Brad was home early from work so we were able to carve pumpkins as a family.  Nate and Evy was so excited to carve the ginormous pumpkin. Then it was off to trick or treating.  Surprisingly it was Evy who was super excited and ready to run to the next house.  We had such a fun day with so many friends, activities, and way way way too much candy!

Pumpkin Patch

We went to the adorable farm we found last year to pick our pumpkins.  This time we got to bring daddy along.  I'm not sure who was more in love with getting pumpkins, the kids or the adults.  Brad kept telling the kids to go pick out more pumpkins.  Brad also wanted to get a huge pumpkin.  It weighted in at 60 lbs!  That's more than Nate! In total we came home with 23 pumpkins and gourds.  I think that will be enough.
