12 Months

- Finally has a tooth!  As odd as getting his first tooth at a year old is, it's even more odd is that it is an upper lateral incisor.  We can see he his middle ones on the top are ready to come, but they have yet to make their appearance.
- Also, he put up with teething very well.  I didn't even know he had been teething when I found his tooth.  I was changing his diaper and noticed during a particularly cheesy grin that there was something funny on his gums.  When I investigated I found a tooth!

- He loves his blankie.  He loves to snuggle with it at naptime and while we read stories.
- He's taken his first steps!  Just one or two at a time.

- This kid loves the dishwasher.  He knows the sound of it opening up and he will come crawling to help.
- He pushes the chairs around.  It's so funny to see him pushing around something so much taller than him.

- We have discovered that Nathan is scared of gospel music.  He will burst into tears whenever he hears it.
- He loves to do raspberries.  All. Day. Long.

- He likes his new convertible carseat.  He enjoys sitting up higher so he can see out the back window a little more.

- This is his thinking face.  We catch him doing it every so often.
- He's figured out the sippy cup!

- Nathan has a box that one of his birthday presents came in.  He will push it over to our furniture and then stand on it to reach for things he's normally to short to grab.  I think we are going to have a hard time keeping him out of things.

- His 12 month stats are: 19 lbs (15 percentile), 27.75 inches long (12 percentile), and 17.75 inches head circumference (24 percentile.)
- He is just a happy, wonderful, giggly little boy!
