Lately, when Nathan is tired he'll start mumbling to me. He often tries this voice to get me to come in to see him while he's going to sleep. For instance, the other night when we were going to bed, Nathan woke up and started mumbling. And no joke, during his mumblings he said mom. Ok, maybe it just sounded like he said mom. But he does try to sound so sad and pitiful when he does it, it's almost a little funny.

Scooting
Tummy time is interesting these days. Half the time Nathan just wants to flop to the side and get stuck rolling over. After he's tired of holding his head up, he starts moving his legs. And you know what? He's scooting around with his forehead to the ground. With his mouth open. He leaves a nice snail trail of spit behind to mark his progress. I have a feeling this kid is going to be an early crawler.

3 Months
I've been looking forward to Nathan turning 3 months. Not because I want him to grow up, but it's just another milestone. I was so excited on Friday when I could finally call him 3 months old. I dressed Nathan up and had Brad take his 3 month pictures.
I didn't realize until Saturday that the 6th was Thursday, not Friday. I was a day late in celebrating. Brad noticed my mistake, but was too nice to correct me. Good job mom. Good job.
Anyways, Nathan is still 3 months old. So at 3 months:
- He's learned to roll over from front to back. But only to the right. He tries to roll to the left, but he mostly just flops over and gets stuck.
- Has finally figured out how to use a pacifier.
- He is over the swaddlepod. We find him in some great positions when he's asleep.
- Loves it when daddy comes home from school. He has extra big smiles for him.
- He likes to play with his hands. He's really cute when he's cross-eyed looking at them.
- We don't bathe him in the kitchen sink anymore because he just splashes way too much. He just gets so excited.
- He giggled for the first time about a weeks ago. I was rocking him in the nursery as he was falling asleep. He normally smiles a few times as he's falling asleep, but he started giggling too! It was the cutest thing. I've been trying to get him to do it again, but he only giggles in very small bits.
